Background
Sophie Moore joined the MRC in The Gambia in November 2006 as the Head of Station for MRC Keneba. Research:
Her primary research focuses on the nutritional influences on developmental immunology within the two key themes of (i) early-life programming of human immunity, and (ii) early-life predictors of low-grade inflammation and chronic disease. This research stems from her broad interest in the impact of pre- and early post-natal nutrition on long-term health consequences. She has previously worked in Tanzania and continues to be involved in collaborative research projects in Pakistan and Bangladesh.
